Country Curtains



We moved into the country about two months ago and I decided I was going to decorate rustic throughout the kitchen, dining, and living areas (since it is so open). We have great views and did not want to cover all of the windows, so I came up with quick and inexpensive valances/swags......made from burlap.

The kitchen valance is burlap glued onto a wooden dowel with iron stars on the end. I was not entirely happy when I hung it up, so I gathered it in the middle and tied on raffia. Voila! Easy, peasy kitchen valance.

Cute Bathroom Accessory















I will be making this one! The gals at Shanty2Chic have some awesome and inspiring projects...so many in fact, that I could link all day to posts I love....but, here is one I am going to try very soon - I am going to make this cute bathroom accessory for the kids' bathroom. Too cute and practical! Go and pay them a visit - you will be glad you did!

Work in Progress

Loose Papers? Problem solved...


I always have notes written on small pieces of paper lying around EVERYWHERE! I came up with a simple solution and absolutely love it....Small laundry pins hold paper on a line - so simple, yet cute. Can be customized to match any decor...Check it out!
